So What Happens Now?

Ready to get back to business?

I know I am.

Listen, now that the election is over (except for all that “counting”), I have one piece of advice.

NOW is the TIME to Get in Front of Your Market (and Stay There).

Last May I predicted that the next 4 years will continue to bring unexpected changes. That’s proven 100% correct and I expect it to continue. FOR YOU that’s really good news because it means it’s a lot easier to get your market’s attention.

That’s why on this week’s Flight Brief I am going to focus on Step #1 of World Domination which is…

If you want to make more money…

If you want to share your message with the world…

If you want to have more freedom…

Then You Want to Become the Go-To Person in Your Niche

Now, I know you may not be there yet, but that’s ok. There is still time to dial in your Position(ing) and take advantage of the massive upcoming market changes.

Not to mention the obvious fact that the more people who follow you, the more you share your message and change the world.

There are a plethora* of ways to become the obvious expert, so let’s hit the list and I’ll go into more detail over the next few weeks.

Write a Book, Be a Best-Seller

Back in 2012, I got the hot idea that I wanted to speak at Lawyer’s Bar Associations. Sounded great. The only problem was I had no idea how. So for about 8 months, all I did was hit dead end after dead end. I tried everything and nothing seemed to work.

And just about the time I was ready to give up, I wrote a book.

That next year, my partners and I spoke at 48 BAR associations and launched a $7-Figure business.

Ah…the difference a book makes.

Seriously, there is nothing that can put a brand on the map like a great book. My last book 21-Day Miracle was Amazon’s #1 business book, sold over 30,000 copies, and helped me generate a huge list.

If you don’t have a book, now is the time.

NOW as in now-now.

If you’ve already written a book, now is the time for your next volley.

NOTE: I am going to personally mentor 10 authors this winter in a new coaching program called Top Gun Book Mentor. If you want to get on the notification list, fill out this super short survey to let me know you’re interested.

Host a Live Show

Back in March, I launched EdTalks LIVE and now we’re closing in on Episode #100 (next Tuesday!), 100,000 views on YouTube and more than a 250,000 across social accounts.

But that’s not all.

The show has expanded my reach and given me access to some of the biggest players in the space.

Hosting a show can be as easy as turning your phone on and saying something great. Or you could build a quality studio. Either way, it’s a great way to both grow and engage your audience.

Create a Podcast (or Be a Guest on Someone Else’s Show)

Podcasting sounded complicated until I realized that it’s nothing more than an audio recording (really). You don’t need anything more sophisticated than your phone. A few years ago, two of my clients recorded 10 podcast episodes in their car on the way home from one of my events.

Podcasts have the extra added benefit of giving you more search engine exposure and access to someone else’s audience (like Apple or Spotify). Plus, if you’ve ever wanted a reason to get someone’s attention, just ask them to be a guest.

The “Others”

Time precludes me from going into detail on the myriad of ways to get in front of your peeps, but I will over the next few weeks.

Here is a Short List:

  1. Create a branded website that looks the part.
  2. Pick ONE social media platform and dominate. (I recently shifted my focus to Instagram btw — check out @EdRushPilot and say hello.)
  3. Speaking! Which just so happens to (still) be my favorite of all positioning tools. There is literally NOTHING like the brand value that comes from speaking. Especially when you consider that speaking includes Zoom presentations. Just do it.
  4. Press Releases. They still work. Seriously. I use www.PRWeb.com.
  5. Get on Media like Radio & TV. This is way, way easier than it sounds. You’re going to see me doing this a lot over the next 4 years.**

Ok, that’s it for now. I almost forgot…

ONE Resource!

I am going to tell you “What Happens Next” on this show. Come join me and we’ll have a blast.

Out.

Ed

P.S. Just a reminder that Marquetta Breslin’s Social Media Blueprint closes this Saturday. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, do that now. It’s a solid, done-with-you program with a very affordable price tag.

* El Guapo, Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?

** Hmmm…what happens 4 years from now?
